Senior SQL Database Administrator (DBA) (Collectors Universe)
We are looking to add a Senior SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to our Information Technology team.
Collectors Universe, Inc. is a leading provider of value added services to the high-value collectibles markets. The Collectors Universe brands are among the strongest and best known in their respective markets. We authenticate and grade collectible coins (PCGS - www.pcgs.com), sports cards (PSA - www.psacard.com), autographs (PSADNA - www.psacard.com).We are looking to add a Senior SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to our Information Technology team.
Job Duties:
+ Manage, maintain, and create reports using SSRS and a data warehouse
+ Create, monitor, and manage DTS/SSIS jobs and packages.
+ Perform and/or coordinate DBA activities on our corporate MS-SQL servers.
+ Monitor performance, capacity, service levels, and error logs.
+ Create and maintain backup, restore, and other maintenance plans.
+ Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary ('metadata').
+ Control access permissions and privileges.
+ Ensure that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly.
+ Conduct capacity planning.
+ Communicate regularly with technical, applications, and operational staff, to ensure database integrity and security.
+ Install new database applications.
+ Migrate changes to production environment
+ SQL development and performance tuning
+ Manage SQL replication across multiple database instances and environments
Education and Experience:
+ Strong Microsoft SQL Server knowledge and experience (MCDBA or similar certification/experience).
+ Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), data warehousing, and advanced reporting
+ Advanced knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
+ Computer Science degree or related/equivalent experience.
