CAC APPROVED PCGS AU55 1803/2 HALF EAGLE
All 1803 half eagles are overdates, and this is one of two issues of this type for which this is so; the other is the 1802/1. The 1803/2 is a common date in circulated grades but probably no more than 10-15% of the coins graded AU55 and AU58 are nice enough to be approved by CAC.
This is a cosmetically appealing coin with rich natural golden-orange hues which deepen to reddish hues at the borders. There is some slight weakness of strike at the centers ( more ... )
